There is no better way to learn about wine than to hear from the source and to sample and compare.
Unless specified otherwise, AWS Tastings will be held on Fridays at 6:30 pm at Lee's Liquor, 7411 W. Lake Mead Blvd near Tenaya. We've moved our start time to 6:30 PM because we have to clean up and be out of the room by 9 PM. Click here for map and directions. RSVP to Gene Lowe (elowe@email.com).
Monthly tasting fees are: $8 per person, $15 per couple.
Patronize our host. On the night of the tasting, Lee's is offering a 10% discount to LVAWS meeting attendees. Currently Lee's is not charging the Club for use of the meeting room. We want to make sure they see good sales volume on the night of our tastings so that they will continue to let us use the room for no charge.

7 PM Friday, May 15, 2009: Special tasting event at Vino 100 Wine Store, 7220 W. Azure Drive, Ste 120, Las Vegas, NV, 89130. The fee will be $10 per person. Map.

11 AM Saturday July 11, 2009: A judging of this year's 115 wines produced at Grape Expectations. The event will be held at Le Cordon Blue (Map). Lunch will be provided. For the list of wines judged, click HERE. Photos.

6:00 pm Saturday August 29: Chapter led tasting - "Oak meets Smoke" - wines to pair with grilled and barbecued foods. Attendees should consider bringing a grilled or barbecued appetizer.

Monday, September 21 and Friday, September 25, 2009: The Chapter will have reservations at the "10 wines for $10" luncheons at Smith and Wollensky. No other tasting event currently planned.
